Thankfulness is an antidote for worries!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In Philippians 4:6 the apostle Paul writes: &quot;Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Paul&#8217;s exhortation shows us that we don&#8217;t need to be anxious if we bring our requests before God&#8217;s throne &ndash; with thankfulness. The next verse seems to show that there is a relationship between thankfulness and inner peace: &quot;The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus&quot; (verse 7).<\/p>\n<p>Thankfulness is a key to satisfaction in life. If we consider the things for which we can be thankful, our attitude will be more positive.<\/p>\n<p>What is there to be thankful for?<\/p>\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n<p>each new day that God gives us,<br \/>\neach sunset that we experience,<br \/>\nour senses that enable us to hear, see, taste, feel and smell,<br \/>\nthings that we in western countries take for granted like clothing, shelter and food,<br \/>\nhelp and support from our friends,<br \/>\nour parents and everything they have done for us,<br \/>\nour calling and the privilege to understand the truth of God&nbsp;.&nbsp;.&nbsp;. <\/p>\n<p>What are you thankful for? Do something for your inner peace of mind and add a few items to the list!<\/p>\n<p>With these thoughts I wish us all a rewarding Sabbath!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Have you ever thought about the importance of being thankful?
