My first trip along the Rhine River was in the summer of 1972. I took a train from Bonn to Munich, and the sunny day was perfect for the stretch of the river just south of Bonn. 35 years later it was another sunny day for seeing the Rhine just south of Bonn. This time, though, my mode of "transportation" was a little different. I ran a full marathon with Mary Ann Miller and Matthew Bates. (more…)
