Another rough day at the "office" |
My "office" is where I work, which can be at home, on a train or at church activities, like today’s 13 km walk along the shore of Starnberg lake near Munich.
Today our friends from the Munich congregation meet at Starnberg lake for a 13 km (8 mile) hike along the shore of the lake. Some came by car (from as far as Austria) and others – like myself – traveled by local train to meet at the Possenhofen train station. (I had spent the night in Ingolstadt, north of Munich.) From the train station we walked to Tutzing and found a large outdoor beer garden near the lake where we enjoyed our lunch before hiking back to Possenhofen. Starnberg lake is a popular weekend location for nearby Munich residents, and it has its share of history, too, with Bavarian King Ludwig II having drowned in the lake under mysterious circumstances. We had sunny, mild weather for the hike – another rough day at the "office" for me. 🙂
