Feast of Tabernacles 2016 |

The beautiful Black Forest in Southern Germany was again the site of the Feast of Tabernacles for 210 brethren from eight countries met in the beautiful lakeside town of Schluchsee, Germany, a millennial setting. The village sits beside the largest lake in the Black Forest region, Lake Schluchsee.
Services were held in the village hall that has a spectacular view of the lake and the Black Forest. Sermons were inspiring and to the point. They services were also translated in English or German as needed.
Some of the notable activities during the Feast were the welcome evening, the women’s brunch, the women’s discussion, a young adult Bible study, a men’s discussion, the children’s day and children’s Bible lessons. The family dance evening was also a prominent event where a dinner was served, and both young and old enjoyed live music and danced the night away.
The restaurant in the hall agreed to revamp their menu during our time there and served dishes that met our dietary requirements. The food was delicious and gave everyone many opportunities to enjoy each other’s company during lunch and dinner.
This year an excursion was set for brethren to travel to another country for a day. The tour was set Ribeauville, France. Everyone enjoyed walking through this small quaint village surrounded by vineyards.
Many agreed that the best part of the Feast was meeting new people and being reunited with old friends. Everyone enjoyed the conversations and spending time with each other. Overall this Feast was wonderful and helped us all focus on the coming Kingdom of God.
