The "European Union" has made progress – at least the EU I reported on earlier.

Maurits de Jong and Julie Richardson are history – at least as singles! Maurits and Julie were featured in anearlier post, and their "big day" was last Sunday in Bedford, England. Julie’s dad Brian had done a marvelous job preparing the wedding details down to the minute, making it the easiest ceremony I had ever performed in 31 years. I told Brian he should learn some German and come to Germany! About 120 people were in attendance for the ceremony. Among them were some friends I had not seen for years. It was a delightful afternoon, with 12 testimonal speeches before and after the late afternoon meal. The evening dance was kicked off by the bride and groom dancing the traditional bridal waltz. It was an honor to be a part of the Richardson-de Jong affair. Rolf and Tineke de Jong have 2 more single sons, and the Richardsons have their son Jonathan who performed superbly as the emcee of his sister’s wedding affair. A delightful day in Bedford, to say the least!
