The Feast early crew

At our Schluchsee feast site every year we have a crew that arrives a day early to get the hall ready.

The main job is preparing the floral decorations for the hall. Schluchsee feast site We usually have one main floral arrangement on the stage and two smaller ones placed on the wall at either side of the stage. The ladies start work around 9 a.m. and are usually finished in the early afternoon, around lunch time or right after lunch. We also set up our translation system, which is a small fm transmitter that we use to transmit the translation into either German or English (depending on which language the speaker is using) for those that need it. That usually only takes around an hour or so. We used to have a Sennheiser infrared system which was much more complex (and expensive). The fm system makes it a lot easier. The frequency we use is assigned by the government agency responsible for the FM broadcast band, and this year it will again be 99.5 Megahertz.
