Last Great Day 2008

On the final day of the fall festival season 2008 we had two services in Schluchsee.

If most Christians have no idea what the Feast of Tabernacles is, Schluchsee Feast site even fewer realize that today – called the "eighth day" in Leviticus 23 – is a separate festival, which we call the Last Great Day. Jesus, His apostles and the first Christians all kept this biblical Feast. It pictures the resurrection of all people after the millennial reign of Christ who never had the opportunity to know Him so they have the chance to learn God’s way. During the morning service we had an ordination. Marcos Rosales from the Netherlands (pictured with his wife Luty) was ordained a deacon. Actually Marcos has been fulfilling this responsibility for years, so his ordination today was a bit overdue. Without Marcos’ efforts during the challenging period after 1998, UCG in the Netherlands would not be where it is today. In the evening everyone had a chance to attend the farewell party and say good-bye before heading home. Some of our overseas guests stayed a few extra days to do some sightseeing. "Auf Wiedersehen" in Schluchsee in 2009!
