Baptism in Prague

Today was a special occasion in Prague, as Zdenka Dankova was baptized.

Zdenka’s first contact with the United Church of God was in February 2008 when baptism in Prague she was doing some research on the internet about dietary laws in the Bible. She found an article published by UCG and ordered some literature. She then had a number of questions that needed to be answered, so she wrote for personal counsel. At first she was referred to Vic Kubik, but since we have a member in the Czech Republic, I became the main person who corresponded with her. Zdenka had a lot of questions – good questions. With a telephone flat rate to several European countries, it was also easy for me to call her and answer her questions. Zdenka speaks excellent English, although she feels that her French is better (she lived in France for 3 years). She and her husband Martin attended the Feast of Tabernacles with us in Schluchsee last year. Martin booked me a hotel room in a hotel near the Prague international train station. The hotel also had a small indoor pool, which was ideal for the baptism. Zdenka will keep her first Passover on Tuesday evening with our members meeting in Moosdorf, Austria.
