Birthday at the ballpark |

My family had the right idea for my 60th birthday.
What better birthday outing for an old St. Louis Cardinal fan than a visit to the ballpark! So today I was invited to watch a double A minor league game at the Frisco Rough Riders ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The Rough Riders are the Class AA affiliate of the Texas Rangers. I got to watch the game against San Antonio with Monica, son Ted and his friend Holly, and daughter Rachel with my grandson Dylan. It was a pleasant cool evening and there weren’t many people in the stands, so I thought I might have a chance at getting a foul ball (we sat right behind the first base dugout). But no such luck. As is customary for a Kieffer outing to the ballpark, we had various refreshments, liquid and solid, and little Dylan also had liquid refreshment. His advantage was that he did not have to go to the concession stand to get anything, he was "served" right there at his seat. 🙂
