Hail on the window

One advantage of an attic flat is that your windows are at an angle so you can catch some hail.

Spring in Germany sometimes hail on the window means a quick thunderstorm as the warm spring weather meets a cold front coming from the north or east. Those storms can sometimes bring hail. One time about 15 years ago my car was parked outside right in front of our apartment building as a thunderstorm hit the area. My car had dents on the top of the car as it was hit by hail the size of large grapes. This time the hail wasn't so bad, and having an attic apartment means that my roof windows catch some of the hail which made this photo possible.
