Knowing enough about the future

What will happen in the coming months and years with Europe's common currency, the euro? For some time now various conflicting "expert opinions" on the future of the euro zone are being circulated.

"Protect your investments now," is what some of the pessimistic predictions are saying.

People are interested in this topic because people generally are interested in the future. Wouldn't we all like to know what is going to happen next?

God has promised to give us everything we need so we can have a relationship with Him and enjoy that relationship for all eternity. The Bible reveals (= predicts) the amazing purpose that God has for human life. This future, revealed in the Bible, will not be completed until every human being has had an opportunity to accept God’s promise of eternal life (Revelation 20:14-15).

The prophecies of the Bible also show us how logical and realistic God’s plan is to put an end to human suffering and our problems, which we cannot solve ourselves, as history shows us full well.

Bible prophecy is a motivational help for us in changing our way of life so we can reach the goal God has purposed for our life.

Bible prophecy is not a tool for us to make better financial investments or choose the right place to live. It is also not a "final warning" so people can make peace with God right before they die. On the contrary, it is supposed to help us change in normal times and serve God, anticipating the great future He has planned for us.

We are still living in fairly normal times. "Therefore, as we have opportunity," let's nurture and strengthen our relationship to God so the prophecies of the Bible regarding our personal future in His family will be fulfilled.

With these thoughts I wish everyone a rewarding Sabbath!
