A consistent message of the New Testament apostles is that we obtain eternal life through Jesus Christ. In his letter to Christians in Rome, the apostle Paul expressed it this way: "If when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life" (Romans 5:10).
