The prophet Amos foretold a time when people would search in vain for the word of God: "Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord God, that I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord, but shall not find it" (Amos 8:11-12). (more…)
The love of God |

In the sermon on the mount Jesus referenced the love of a father in providing for his children to illustrate God's love: "What man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him" (Matthew 7:9-11). (more…)

We discover important lessons in the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. One of those lessons involves the question that God asked Adam after Adam and Eve had partaken of the forbidden fruit.
