There is a joke about cemeteries being popular places, because people are just dying to get in there. However, spending time at the cemetery has never made the list of the top ten leisure activities. But in the state of Utah, in Salt Lake City, there is a grave that attracts many visitors. It is Matthew Robinson's grave, who died in February 1999 at the age of ten and a half years. (more…)

In the parable of the sower and the seed (Mathew 13:3-9) the seed sown by the sower also fell "among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them" (verse 7). Jesus explained this aspect of the parable in verse 22: "Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful." On one occasion when Jesus preached in Capernaum, a handicapped person was brought to Him: "They came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, Son, your sins are forgiven you†(Mark 2:3-5). (more…)
